How much does it cost to work with you?
As a freelancer: I have a basic daily rate if you would like to hire me. Please contact me for more information. I am equipped to work remotely or I am more than happy to travel to your place of work.
For project enquiries: I will price these accordingly based on my knowledge and experience. You will receive a written estimate from me that includes all costs and a breakdown of the project stages.

Another supplier charges less than you. Can you match them?
I’m always happy to discuss my pricing, but the fee I calculate is based on my time, experience and the value of the project. Just as a client chooses the designer, the designer also chooses the client. It’s up to the designer to work with those who value the service provided.

How long will my project take to complete?
It really depends on what type of project it is. An identity can take a number of days/weeks to digest and develop fully. Likewise a website can take a few months to design and to construct the final build. An approximate schedule can be discussed during the initial stages of the project.

What exactly do I receive during the course of the project?
I normally send clients a PDF presentation showing a range of effective design solutions. Upon approval, one of the design routes will be developed into the final design. When completed, you will receive a final set of artwork files.

What artwork filetypes do you provide?
Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or Encapsulated PostScript (.eps) are the main types of file provided for a brandmark (logo). Adobe PDFs (.pdf) are usually appropriate for supplying to a printer for things like brochures, adverts or exhibition stand designs. Adobe Photoshop (.psd) files are a good file to give to web developers especially if they are layered files.
Such files can be scaled to any size without loss of quality and, with the right software, clients can create any other file type necessary (.jpg, .png, .gif, .swf, etc.). I'm more than happy to accept valid file requests, as well as answer any questions if clients are unsure.

Do you create style guides for your brand identities?
Yes. This is an option, depending on what the client needs.

Will you research my competitors?
I do my best to research client competitors for every project, but it depends on the kind of project.

Can you help with commercial printing?
Having dealt with many print companies, I am more than happy to offer advice on choosing paper stock, finishing and how to save print costs. I can also manage the print production if required.

With new clients, I request a 50% advance payment before scheduling the work. This is payable via bank transfer, PayPal, cheque, or with a bank draft in GBP (Great British pounds). Details are included in my invoice, and the remaining 50% is payable upon completion of the project, immediately before I supply original artwork.
